About Pigments In Positivity CIC
Pigments In Positivity CIC is a Sunderland-based Community Interest Company providing inclusive, trauma-informed medical and restorative tattooing.
We support people living with the visible effects of cancer treatment, surgery, injury, burns, scarring and gender-affirming procedures. Our care is open to people of all genders and is delivered with respect for each person’s body, identity, experiences and choices.
Why we exist
Restorative tattooing can help people rebuild confidence, reclaim body autonomy and feel more comfortable in their skin following cancer treatment, surgery, injury, burns, scarring or gender-affirming procedures. However, the cost and limited availability of specialist treatment can place it out of reach for many people.
Pigments In Positivity CIC was created to help remove those barriers. Through our supported contribution model, treatment may be partly or fully funded according to individual circumstances, helping more people access skilled, respectful care without cost being the deciding factor.
We provide realistic areola restoration, scar camouflage and MCA scar revision from a private, appointment-only studio in Sunderland. Every person begins with an individual consultation, and treatment only proceeds when it is appropriate for their skin, health, circumstances and personal goals.

Lol Stone is the Founder and Clinical Lead of Pigments In Positivity CIC.
A qualified Level 3 beauty therapist and permanent makeup artist, Lol achieved distinctions in both her Level 2 and Level 3 beauty therapy qualifications. She completed her permanent makeup training with Antony Turner in Leeds, followed by specialist training in realistic areola tattooing, MCA scar revision and scar camouflage with TATA, The Areola Training Academy in Essex.
Lol founded Pigments In Positivity CIC to make specialist medical and restorative tattooing more accessible to people following cancer treatment, surgery, injury, burns, scarring or gender-affirming procedures. She believes that cost should not prevent someone from accessing treatment that may help them feel more comfortable and confident in their body.
Her wider qualifications and experience include phlebotomy, blood-borne pathogen safety, infection prevention and control, emergency first aid, client consultation and consent, treatment planning and Level 3 Adult Education and Training. She continues to develop her knowledge through practical training and ongoing professional education, with Level 4 Advanced Beauty Techniques and Level 5 Non-Surgical Aesthetic Procedures study beginning in September 2026.
Lol’s approach is honest, inclusive and trauma-informed. Appointments are unhurried and planned around each person’s individual needs, with neurodivergent-friendly adjustments, silent appointments and additional support available where needed. She is committed to creating a space where people of all bodies, backgrounds, identities and experiences are treated with dignity and respect.
Lol also owns and runs Sigil + Skin, the Sunderland studio where Pigments In Positivity CIC treatments take place. All treatments are provided by appointment only.
